This Privacy Policy explains how AI Visibility Tool (" we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our service. We operate under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) of India as our primary compliance framework, and observe general data protection principles consistent with a GDPR-friendly baseline for visitors from other regions who browse without transacting.

1. Data Fiduciary

2. What Data We Collect

We collect only the data you provide or that is necessary to operate the service:

• Business name, keywords, category, city, locality — you provide these to run the visibility check.
• Email address — optional; used only to email your report if you choose to receive it.
• Approximate location (country) — derived from your IP address to determine pricing and availability. Your full IP address is never stored in our database or logs; it is truncated or hashed immediately after use.
• Payment metadata — Razorpay order ID and payment ID. No card or UPI details pass through our servers; Razorpay handles all payment data directly.
• AI-generated response text — the recommendation text returned by AI platforms is stored temporarily as part of your report. This text may incidentally contain business names or other identifiers.

3. Why We Collect It

• Purpose limitation: We use your data solely to run the AI visibility check you requested, process your payment, and optionally email you the report.
• We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond the service you requested.
• We do not sell your data to third parties for advertising or any other purpose.

4. Third Parties We Share Data With

To deliver the service, your data is shared with the following processors:

• Razorpay — payment processing. They receive your payment amount and generate order/payment IDs. Card details are handled entirely within Razorpay's PCI-compliant environment.
• OpenAI (ChatGPT), Google (Gemini), Anthropic (Claude), Perplexity (Perplexity AI) — your business name, keyword, category, city, and locality are sent to these providers as part of the prompt to generate the recommendation check.
• Brave Search and/or SerpAPI — your search query (keyword + location) is sent to determine search visibility.
• ip-api.com — your IP address is sent to determine your country for pricing and availability. The IP is not stored by us after the lookup completes.

Each of these providers operates under their own privacy terms. We encourage you to review their privacy policies for further details on how they process data.

5. Data Retention

We retain your report data — including business name, keywords, AI responses, and payment metadata — for 90 days from the date of creation. After this period, the data is automatically deleted. You may request earlier deletion at any time (see Section 6 below).

Email addresses are retained only as long as the associated report exists. If you request deletion of your report, your email address is deleted with it.

6. Your Rights

Under the DPDP Act, you have the following rights:

• Right to know: You can ask what data we hold about you and how it is processed.
• Right to deletion: You can request deletion of your report and associated data before the 90-day retention period expires.
• Right to grievance redressal: If you have a complaint about how your data is handled, you can contact us using the details below.

7. Grievance Redressal

8. Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (TLS) and access controls. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Cookies & Tracking

We do not use cookies, localStorage, or any tracking mechanisms for analytics or advertising purposes. The only client-side storage used is the PHP session (server-side), which is necessary for the payment flow and is temporary by nature.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. If material changes are made, we will notify you through the service (e.g., a notice on the website).
